British boxer, Kelly, believes a dominant win against David Avanesyan on 8 December, 2018 will propel him to victory again in another big test fight with veteran boxer Amir Khan.

The 2016 Summer Olympics bronze winner has told Sky Sports today, barely five days after beating Fabian Castillo by 8-0 in Manchester, a victory which was capitalised by an impressive first round stoppage.

The Sunderland based boxer has revealed that his trainer, Adam Booth, always backs him to be at top level, and believes he is ready to be tested at top level.

“Definitely I would fight Khan, no problem. I’m not one for calling people out though.

“I want to be tested by genuine world-class operators; I wouldn’t be in the game if I didn’t think I could go all the way.

“I leave everything with Adam, I fully trust in what he says and thinks, if he thinks I’m good enough to take on Khan then so do I. Adam’s not rushing me along just to see me lose, he genuinely thinks I can take these steps up,” he said in an exclusive interview with SkySports.

Kelly’s next opponent, Avanesyan is a Russian, and holds a victory over Shane Mosley and was last year eliminated by American Lamont Peterson in a WBA welterweight world title fight.
