Ahead of this weekend’s FISD Challenge Cup semifinals, FISD Company Limited, sponsors of the Cup, has handed over jerseys to be used by players.
The handover ceremony took place today at Mpira Village in Chiwembe, Blantyre, and was presided over by representatives of the semifinalists.
Nyasa Big Bullets defeated Chitipa United by five goals to nil at Kamuzu Stadium to make it to the semis, Silver Strikers thrashed defending Champions Kamuzu Barracks by two goals to zero to reach this far, Moyale Barracks managed to cruise through with a three-two win over Blue Eagles, while Mighty Be Forward Wanderers white washed non-league side Airborne Rangers by six goals to nil.
Therefore on Saturday 8 December, 2018, Wanderers will take on Moyale while on Sunday 9 December, 2018 Big Bullets will battle it out with Silver; a game people are mockingly calling ‘CAF third place encounter’ by soccer banters since both teams have been ousted yesterday from the CAF tourneys.
All games will be played at Bingu National Stadium at 14:30 in the capital Lilongwe.
