Malawi national netball team shooter, Joyce Mvula who is based in England has lifted two awards at her English club, Manchester Thunder to finish off unforgettable season.
The development finishes amazing season for the shooter after she was also voted ‘Player of the Year’ after guiding Thunder to their first Vitality Super league title since 2014.
“This has truly been a fantastic season for me and the club. We won our first league title in five years and I played a crucial role in the victory. It was also pleasing to be voted Sky Sports fans’ player of the season.
I now have two awards at my club following the recognition from my teammates and the coach. This shows that the team recognises my contribution,” Mvula said.
Mvula also addressed that she won all these awards because her teammates were supportive.
The Queens star has completed her third season at Thunder, having joined from Blue Eagles Sisters.
Meanwhile, Mvula also featured for the Malawi under-20 national netball team at the African Union Sports Council Region Five (formerly Zone VI) Games in 2010 and 2012.
