Flames captain and Former Be Forward Wanderers, Joseph Kamwendo has ended his contract with South African National First Division (NFD) side Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) FC.

Kamwendo said that he has mutually parted ways with the Limpopo-based side on personal grounds.

The 32-year-old former Caps United (Zimbabwe), Nordsjaelland (Denmark), Orlando Pirates (South Africa), Club de Maculmana (Mozambique) and TP Mazembe (DRC) player signed a one-year deal with the South African second-tier league side after a successful trial in January this year.

“Things didn’t go as I had expected. I tried to persevere, but it was a bit too much for me so I am back home.

“There is a lot that happened there, but I do not regret signing for them. It is not a secret that there were problems at the club that I cannot discuss in the media.

“Nevertheless, for a player of my age to land a deal in the South African second-tier league was quite a feat,” Kamwendo said.

Kamwendo’s departure from the South African club follows his compatriot Atusaye Nyondo, who quit just weeks after signing for the team.

Meanwhile, Nyondo, who signed a one-and-a-half year contract, was quoted by www.kickoff.com as having lodged a complaint to South Africa’s Players Union against TTM over unpaid dues.
