Silver Strikers Football club is now bragging after thrashing Civil Sporting Club 2-1 in a TNM Super League match played before a huge crowd at Silver Stadium in the Capital Lilongwe Sunday.
Following the win, Silver moved to third position on the table with 11 points from six games, just one point behind leaders Tigers, who lost 2-1 to Moyale at Mzuzu Stadium Sunday.
Civil have dropped to position 11 with nine points from six games.
Ghanaian striker, Michael Tetteh was named Man-of-the-Match after opened the scores nine minutes. before recess with a fine strike before Duncan Nyoni added the second in the 43rd minute from a free-kick.
Silver Team Manager, Itai Nundwe, applauded his charges for playing according to their game-plan.
“We planned well for Civil. We knew that they would come hard on us. We hope to maintain the momentum so that we can achieve something at the end of the season,” Nundwe said.

Masters Security also had mixed fortunes after they lost 2-1 to Karonga United at Karonga Stadium.
Ntopwa enjoyed their best game of the season at Kamuzu Stadium as they thrashed Dwangwa United 3-0.
