Malawi Queens are in England for their participation at the Netball World Cup in Liverpool, to be held for 10 ten days starting on July 12.
The queens, who were joined by the shooter star Joyce Mvula in Manchester are expected to leave for Wales today where they will play three test matches before proceeding to Liverpool for the netball world cup.
Malawi is expected to face Trinidad and Tobago, the host and Grenada in an international Series slated for 4 to 10 July in Cardiff.
The Queens coach Griffin Saenda said they will utilize the best matches to prepare for the world cup.
“It is good we have a test series to sharpen our minds. We will adopt the fighting mentality,” said Saenda.
During the last Netball World Cup Malawi finished on position five, according to Saenda the queens will try to improve on their previous achievements.
To energize the squad, two UK based stars Joyce Mvula and Laureen Ngwira are expected to join the squad whilst on the other hand ruling out Mwai Kumwenda who sustained some injuries.
