The Malawi National Netball Team is currently in Liverpool where is expected to take part in the 2019 Vitality World Netball Cup after a series of strength testing matches in Manchester and Cardiff.
Team Manager for the Queens, Jane Kachali Saidi, said the strength testing matches the queens had before the world cup tournament will help the technical panel headed by Griffin Zagaro Sayenda to polish up the team.
“We are now in Liverpool where 2019 Netball World Cup will be taking place. I believe we have a team that can compete very well at this level,” Saidi said.
She added; “the friendly matches we had in Manchester and Cardiff will definitely help the technical panel to iron out some technical hiccups.”
She expressed confidence that the queens will carry the days as they have been accompanied by Joyce Mvula.
“Good news is that Joyce Mvula is now fit and may be featured in some of the games depending on the coaches’ assessment,” she said.
Due to injuries Mvula sustained there were doubts if the Manchester Thunders star would take part in the tournament.
