Gift Mkandawire the Chairperson of Be forward Wanderers, has challenged his team’s players and technical panel to consolidate their TNM Super League first round top finish with a win.

The teams victory in first round came to them while hands forded, without kicking the ball on Wednesday after second-placed Kamuzu Barracks (KB) were held to a 1-1 draw by Masters Security.

Alion Tchefu scored to give Masters the lead but KB’s Ndaona Daisi equalised for the two Lilongwe-based teams to share points.

The Nomads tops the log table with 33 points from 14 games, and scheduled to wind up their first round assignments with a match against Moyale on Sunday.

Kamuzu Barracks remains second with 29 points from 14 matches and face Mzuni on the same day at Kasungu Stadium in their last first round fixture.

The Chair Person, Mkandawire said finishing the first round with a win would boost their chances of lifting the league title.

“The boys have done a great job by winning the first round. We need to maintain the momentum by finishing with a win. We will be playing at home and we must get full points.

“Finishing with a loss at home would not reflect well on our title aspirations. We must send signals out there that we are serious with our hunt for the league title. The players and coaches know what incentives are there if they win against Moyale,” Mkandawire said.

Meanwhile, defending champions Nyasa Big Bullets left for Dwangwa, Nkhotakota, yesterday to face Dwangwa United at Chitowe Stadium Saturday.

Bullets Coach, Kallisto Pasuwa, said they were not underrating Dwangwa as smaller teams are always tough when playing at home.

“We regrouped on Monday after our CAF Champions League assignment and we are well prepared for Dwangwa. We still do not have the services of our captain John Lanjesi, Righteous Banda and MacFarlane Mgwira who are on light training as they continue with their recovery,” Pasuwa said.

Bullets are on position six with 26 points from
