Juventus scouts reportedly watched Mohamed Salah play for Liverpool against Tottenham last week.
Liverpool icon Steve Nicol believes there is no chance Mohamed Salah would leave the Reds for Juventus.
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been tentatively linked with a shock exit from the European champions this week.
That came after reports emerged claiming Juventus had sent scouts to watch last Sunday’s match against Tottenham at Anfield.
Salah had previously been linked with a move to Real Madrid after his first season at the Reds, but never showed any signs of leaving.
Now, however, he has been discussed about with regards to a different move, with Juve reportedly sniffing around him.
But Liverpool legend Steve Nicol wasn’t having any of it, and insisted he would stay at Anfield.
“Why would he want to go to Juventus? Could someone tell me?” He asked on.
“No disrespect to Juventus, but right now he’s playing with the European champions, who are favourites to win the Premier League. Why would he go there?”
After a reported bust-up between Salah and strike partner Sadio Mane, Gary Neville predicted to Jamie Carragher that the Egyptian would be off before too long.
“Salah’s going to leave in the next 12 months, I can see it already,” he said on Sky Sports.
“Carragher knows, he won’t say it. I can see it, you can feel it, you can smell it.”
The scouts weren’t just there to watch Salah, however, as they reportedly kept a keen eye on Christian Eriksen and Heung-min Son.
Eriksen will be out of contract at the end of the season, and has shown no signs of wanting to extend his stay in north London.
The Danish attacker will be free to talk to foreign teams in January, as he looks set to leave.
He reportedly wants to go to Real Madrid, but with the Spanish side unsure on whether to make a move in the January transfer window, it is possible that he could be faced with having to choose between Juve and Spurs.
