The news that started as a rumour now has come to reality. Japanese car dealer Be Forward has confirmed that the company will be sponsoring Mighty Wanderers, one of the football power houses in the country for a period of 10 years.
The news was disclosed on Friday afternoon at the team’s club house Lali Lubani.
Be-forward will be pumping MK70 million into the team every season and Nomads now will be called BE-Forward Wanderers.
Speaking in an interview with the Press after the revelations, Wanderers Chairman George Chamangwana could not hide his happens.
“Am so proud with this sponsorship from Be-forward. We have been criticized heavily by some people out there who don’t wish the team well. It’s now time to turn the tables around and see the old Wanderers”, said Chamangwana.
Chamangwana also disclosed that in away games, the team will be putting on a new colour representing Be Forward.
Wanderers outclassed their long time arch-rivals Big Bullets FC and Epac FC who were also vying for the sponsorship from Be-forward.
