Veteran footballer in the country Fitcher Kondowe who plays for the People’s team Big Bullets FC was crowned player of the season on Friday night during this year’s TNM Super League prize presentation held at the College of Medicine Sports Complex in Blantyre.
Kondowe 40,outclassed Moyale Barracks striker Gustine Simkonda and he pocketed money amounting to MK120 000.
During the same night, Big Bullets FC was crowned this year’s TNM Super League Champions pocketing money amounting to MK9 million.
Apart from Kondowe, Bullets goalkeeper Vincent Gona was named best goalkeeper beating Flames and Moyale Barracks goalkeeper Macdonald Harawa and Be Forward Wanderers goalkeeper Richard Chipuwa . Gona pocketed K80 000.
Best Defender award went to Francis Mulimbika who plays for Be Forward Wanderers out classing Sankhani Mkandawire, Yamikani Fodya of Bullets and Civo Service United captain Emmanuel Zoya. Mlimbika also pocked MK80 000.
Best Midfielder award went to Bullets FC player Dalitso Sailesi outclassing his team Fischer Kondowe and Henry Kabichi, Wanderers’s Mike Kaziputa and Blue Eagles’s Phillip Masiye. Sailesi went away with K80 000.
Other awards went to Gustine Simkonda, Victor Limban, Bullets Coach Elijah kananji, Silver Strikers and Azam Tigers.
