The people’s team Big Bullets FC’s preparations to play in CAF Champions League scheduled to start next month February has received a boost following the coming in of former Escom and Malawi national team striker Chiukepo Msowoya.
Msowoya’s decision to join Bullets comes following the expiry of his contract with a Mozambican club.
Confirming the development in an interview with the Press, Bullets Technical Director Billy Tewesa said Chiukepo is expected to start training with the team today Monday afternoon.
“Yes its true, Chiukepo has joined us and will start his training on Monday with the rest of the team players. He will add a great value to the team considering the fact that we will be competing in five major tournaments so he will be very vital,” Tewesa was quoted as saying with one of the online Publication in the country.
Bullets FC will start the CAF Champions League assignment with an away match against Fomboni Club of Comoro Islands in the Weekend of February 13-14 and the second leg will be played at Kamuzu Stadium the following week.
Last week Football Association of Malawi (FAM) released Big Bullets CAF Champions League squad which comprises of 26 members and wished the club all the best.
Meanwhile the club is only remaining with three weeks to prepare for the tournament.
