A pair of draws in Group B’s final two matches on Monday in the 2015 AFCON saw DR Congo and Tunisia go through to the quarter-finals while Zambia and Cape Verde head home.
DR Congo rallied in the second half to bag a crucial equaliser, which eventually proved enough to see them through after Zambia and Cape Verde’s weather-affected match ended in a drab 0-0.
DR Congo’s second-half equaliser put them through to the quarter-finals along with Tunisia as the pair played out a 1-1 draw in Bata.
Cape Verde and Zambia played out a 0-0 draw in their final Group B game of AFCON 2015 on Monday; a result that was useless to both sides and saw them knocked out of the tournament.
However, neither side ever really came close to a winner, and Zambia and Cape Verde both return home after a 0-0 draw in the driving rain.
