Netball Association of Malawi (NAM) who summoned netball giants Diamond Queens to a hearing last week Saturday January 23, for misconduct in last year’s GOTv netball challenge is expected to deliver its determination of a case involving Diamonds players and assaulted time-keeper Dalitso Chinyama on Saturday.
Malawi-Sports speaking with Nam’s acting chairperson Daud Mtanthiko confirming of the new development stated that they had a hearing that took place from 8 am to 2 pm as it involved some six players and officials from Diamonds, whereas hearing out Dalitso only lasted for two hours as it was just one person.
The incident happened on October 18 2014 during a match against Complex Tigresses when some Diamonds Queens players allegedly manhandled timekeeper Dalitso Chinyama, accusing her of meddling with the time which led to their lose.
We are bound to come up with direction this Saturday on the two cases of assault and some players implicating the timekeeper.
The incident happened on October 18 2014 during a match against Complex Tigresses. The Diamonds accuse Chinyama of time-delaying tactics when alerting umpires on time-outs.
