Silver Strikers Fc forward Chawanangwa Kaonga is on the most wanted list as South Africa’s Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Maritzburg United has shown signs of on signing the striker this January.
So far Kaonga who in June last year underwent trials has also attracted interests from TNM Super League Champions Big Bullets FC and another unidentified Mozambican club.
“Maritzburg United said they will need my services this January and this has put me in a fix in terms of deciding which team to play for. However, I am looking forward to a team that comes with a better offer. I am not in a rush,” said Kaonga yesterday.
Maritzburg came up with a K8 million offer for the striker’s five-year deal in July 2014, but the issue went into oblivion for the last few months. Silver Strikers bought the player from Civo United at K700 000 in 2012.
On the other hand, TNM Super League champions Big Bullets want the player to help them in their campaign for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Championships.
