Newly appointed coach of Mighty Be Forward Wanderers, Elia Kananji has expressed how happy he is at the club citing that he has no regrets for not being part of the Bullets team in transit to the Comoros for a CAF Champions League clash against Fomboni Club de Moheil on Sunday.
Malawi-Sports speaking with Kananji in an interview said his thrilled that Wanderers took notice of his hard working skills and that his looking towards working with the coaching panel and players altogether.
“I have settled here. If you do not settle quickly in new environments, it becomes a challenge. A football person must never struggle finding their feet in new teams,” he said.
Kananji is said to have left Bug Bullets after being demoted to second assistant coach for allegedly lacking sufficient CAF coaching badges in view of Bullets’ CAF engagements.
“I won the league last season, but I have not necessarily been given target. I am also not setting myself targets. However, it is the wish of every coach to win something next season,” he said.
