The People’s team Big Bullets FC left the country on Wednesday through Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) to face Al-Hilal of Sudan in the second second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League this Sunday.
At first Bullets was expected to leave the country through Chileka in International Airport via Ethiopia but the programme changed at the 11th hour.
Bullets left Blantyre for Lilongwe by road Wednesday morning and flew to Kenya from the Kamuzu International Airport the same day.
The team is expected to leave for Khartoum, Sudan today and is expected to do its first training in Sudan this evening.
Speaking before departure at Kamuzu International Airport, Bullets Chairman Kondi Msungama urged all Malawians across the country to put the team into players, saying the team’s victory in Sudan will be for all Malawians.
On his part, Bullets coach Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan said his side is ready for a win in Sudan.
