Malawi’s flagship career Big Bullets fc’s dream of progressing to the next round of CAF Champions has been shattered following a 4-0 loss to Al Hilal of Sudan on Sunday.
In a match monitored on Matindi fm and Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS), the People’s team started the game on a slow note giving the host an upper to pressure the team from left and right. No wonder the host scored a goal 9 minutes later through Khalifa.
As this was not enough, Omar Said capitalized on the misstates by Bullets defence comprised of sankhani Mkandawire, Pilirani Zonda and Yamikani Fodya to score the second goal in the space of 5 minutes.
After two goals Bullets started to re-group with Fitcher Kondowe, James Chilapondwa, Dalitso Sailesi, Henry Magetsi Kabichi and Victor Limbani doing whatever they can on the mid-field to supply the balls the strikers.
But this did not yield any results as Al Hilal defence proved too good for Musa Manyenje and Jafalifi Chande.
First-half ended 2-0 in favour of the host.
Bullets FC started the second-half as if they are the ones leading and no wonder the host added the third goal through Khalifa.
The development worsened the situation to the side of Bullets as players started playing individual football.
As everyone was thinking that the game will end 3-0, Al Hilal added the fourth goal through Hassan.
The game end 4-0 in favour of the host.
Meanwhile Bullets FC is going into the second round which will be played in April 4,2015 at Kamuzu Stadium 4-0 deficit and the team will need to score more than 4 goals to sail through.
