Despite Malawi Armed Forces College (MAFCO) football club losing 3-1 to Big Bullets in a friendly match that took place on Saturday at Kamuzu stadium, the team has hailed the people’s team and wished them a nice journey as they are to leave for Sudan.
Speaking in an interview, MAFCO coach stereo Gondwe said he is happy that Bullets is making Malawi proud hence they need to be congratulated.
“They are many teams in Malawi but Bullets has proven to all people that they are the masters after they beat Fomboni FC, this is good because they are carrying Malawian flag as they are playing in international matches.
“Although we have lost, we still hope we are going to make it in the next game and hopefully may be next time it will be us who will make it to CAF,” said Gondwe.
On his part, Bullets captain Fischer Kondowe said he is happy that people in Malawi are now matured as they are taking football as a game and not a fight.
“We are all prepared and any day from now we will be leaving for Sudan and we are just appealing to everyone in Malawi to pray for us as only God can make us win,” Kondowe said.
Supporters also congratulated their team saying BB is making them happy hence they should work hard in Sudan as Al Hallaly is known to be tough.
“BB is my beloved team as such I can’t wait Kuzamwa tea wankaka, all I can ask is for them to practice more so that people can know that there is no any other team in Malawi apart from BB,” he said.
