Former United Democratic front (UDF) top official and ex-chairman of Might Be Forward Wanderers has declared interest to contest as Football Association of Malawi (FAM) President challenging the incumbent President Walter Nyamilandu Manda.
Other people who are vying for the position include former celebrated goalkeeper Bonface Maganga,Former Lilongwe City chief Kelvin M’mangisa,a prominent lawyer cum golfer Gift Makhwawa and Chikwawa United owner Owen Chomanika.
Mvula confirmed of the development in an interview with Malawi-sports.com, saying he wants to bring change in the association.
In a related development, former FAM Genaral Secretary, Charles Nyirenda wants to stand for the position of second vice president.
36 FAM’s affiliates are legible to vote and these are Super League of Malawi, Southern Region Football Association, Central Region Football Association, Northern Region Football Association, Women’s Football Association, National referees Association and youth football development.
