Carlsberg Cup final match between Might Be-Forward Wanderers and their traditional rivals Big Bullets FC played on Saturday raised money amounting to MK29, 387,820.00.
According to information sourced by Malawi-sports.com, out of the amount raised through gate collections Bullets FC and Be-Forward Wanderers shared MK5.2 million each.
A part from teams, FAM got K4 283 000 ($8 173), Malawi National Sports Council (MNCS) K1 045 000 ($1 994) and the balance went to security, ground owners, Saint Johns Ambulance and match supervisors.
Football Association of Malawi (FAM) competition Manager Gomezgani Zakazaka confirmed of the development in an interview with the Press.
Soccer fans were paying MK2000 on the open stand, MK5,000 covered stand and MK10,000 VIP stand.
Prior to the match, FAM said that 19 350 tickets were produced for the game.
