Big Bullets Fc dream of defending the 2015 TNM Super League are slowly coming to a reality following a 3-1 win against Moyale Barracks at Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday.
Despite starting the game on a slow pace Bullets looked so composed in all departments from the first whistle and ably tamed the visitors who started the game on high note.
In the 27th minute of the first half, Bullets scored the first goal through Chiukepo Msowoya after combining well with Jaffalie Chande.
As the excitement was far from over, Mussa Manyenje increased the lead after intercepting a bad pass from Robert Simkonda to Juma Chikwenga.
Moyale looked shaky at the back as there was no communication between defenders and goalkeeper giving a chance Bullets to camp in Moyale’s half.
Although this was the case, Moyale reduced the arrears through super substitute Deus Nkutu just 30 seconds of his introduction in the 41st minute. Nkutu replaced Dan Katunga.
Come second half, Moyala kept on pressing for an equalizer but Bullets managed to contain the pressure.
As everyone was thinking that the match will end 2-1 in favour of the People’s team, Chiukepo Msowoya pieced off Moyale’s defence before releasing the ball to Aimable Niyikiza who replaced Jaffali Chande to register his first goal with the club.
The win means Bullets is now seven points clear with 44 points from 19 games.
In other games, Fisd Wizards registered their first victory in Nchalo with a 2~0 victory against Airborne Rangers.
