Moyale FC acting team Manager, Chimwemwe Banda has disclosed that Gastin Simkonda, Flames striker will be available this 2016 season following his absence in the 2015 season as he was on a peace keeping mission in Cote d’ Voire.
Adding on, Banda said that the player’s presence would boost up their fire power upfront.
“We were organized last season. We played our usual good football. We only failed to utilize the scoring opportunities as there was lack of aggressiveness in the attacking position.
“However, the situation will be checked this season with the availability of Simkonda. We will also beef up the squad with other players from relegated team, Airborne Rangers,” he said.
According to the acting team manager, Simkonda is due to arrive in the country this month end.
As he agreed that Simkonda’s services were missed, soccer analyst Charles Nyirenda advised the outfit to nurture the present crop of up-and-coming players to rebuild the team.
“Simkonda is a good striker; his services can always be missed. However, there is still a need for the club to mould the current strikers to start delivering,” he said.
Moyale assistant coach Charles Kamanga said Simkonda’s place was still available in the team.
“Simkonda’s services are greatly needed, we have spared his space. We know that his presence in the team in this new season can have a big impact,” he said.
