After the release of a heap of players, Silver Strikers have made a move to replace these players with ten new players bought at K12 million.
The team has opted to buy young fresh players as to boost the team’s momentum. This comes as a result of Young Chimodzi’s vision of bringing up fresh blood in the game.
This however, has caused speculations, as the amount at which these players have been bought seems to be too low.
Compared to other teams, mostly international ones, it is barely impossible to recruit a bunch of players at such a low rate.
On average the rate at which the players have been purchased is K1.2m each.
This outwardly shows how the football industry in Malawi has not progressed. Much work is needed to boost football in Malawi in as far as players are concerned.
