Be Forward Wanderers have extended trials of Japanese striker, Genki Nakamura, to next week Friday.
Nakamura started the trials a fortnight ago, but he failed to feature for Wanderers last Sunday when they lost 1-2 to Wizards FC because he had blisters.
Nomads general secretary, Mike Butao, said the technical panel failed to assess the player as he stopped training on Thursday.
Butao also said that they were not in a hurry to sign Nakamura, who has since resumed training.
The GS stressed that they were impressed with the way the player has responded to training.
“We were supposed to hold talks with him on Monday, but we failed because he did not finish the period we agreed for his trials. We want him to play a friendly match, and from there, we will have a clear picture. He complained about the weather, but he is now getting used to it. We expect him to be featured when we play against Red Lions on Saturday,” Butao said.
Meanwhile, the Carlsberg Cup holders’ executive committee has condemned some of their supporters who assaulted their goalkeeper, Bester Phiri, and accused the technical panel for lacking seriousness.
