Super League of Malawi (Sulom) has made a decision to start super league this Saturday, 16 April with 14 teams not 15 teams as it used to be.
The teams in Super league are always 16, but as recently development two teams have got issues to be sorted out.
Sulom general secretary Williams Banda said the kick-off cannot wait for two teams to be identified.
“Delaying the kick-off any further will affect the football calendar,” Banda disclosed.
Meanwhile, champions Nyasa Big Bullets will host Moyale Barracks at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre in the sponsorship re-launch match.
Banda said the Full fixtures would be released later.
Airborne United, Wizards FC and Dedza Young soccer Saints are expected to resume plays –offs to identify the 16th team.
Club licensing manager Casper Jangale said they would release the list of clubs that have been licensed today.
