Leo Mpulula who was a coach of Max Bullets resigned while the team management claimed to have been fired him.
Following the disagreements which arose between Mpulula and the club management players’ contracts, the coach has stepped down. According to Mpulula, he decided to resign after his efforts to convince the management to maintain the same squad that graduated from the lower league failed.
“I told the management led by the owner that we maintain the same squad and give them one year contracts because the club has just graduated from lower league and doesn’t have the enough money that it can sign the players for two or three year term with the little money available but they couldn’t understand.” Mpulula said.
However, the club chairman Gilton Chakhaza refuted Mpulula claims that he has resigned.
“I am surprised to hear that he has come to you and claim that he has resigned, the truth is that he has been fired and we have already replaced him with Patrick Kulemeka. Suppose he had resigned, do you think we could have already replaced him in a single day?
