Harold Fote, the Former Nyasa Big Bullets general secretary confirmed that the contract which Jaffale Chande submitted to Football Association Malawi (FAM) is original.
Over weeks have been several developments on this matter where by some people start believing that Chande forged his contract. However, Fote who was summoned by the FAM at the weekend to testify on what he knows about the player’s profile since his signature appears on both contracts were presented to the association by the player and Bullets.
On Monday, Yesterday, Fote spoke what he knows on Chande’s contact to FAM.
“In spite of the fact that I was given copies of two contracts, my testimony was based on what I know on the issue.
“As such, I did not discard any of the two contracts, but rather I testified having offered Chande one and half year-contact which ran from August 2014 to March 2016.
“This was done deliberately so that it should be in line with the football calendar. I also remember that Chande insisted on signing on every page of the contract agreement. But it is up to FAM to make their conclusion based on the evidence before them,” he said.
The FAM transfer matching systems manager Casper jangale did not comment fully on way forward to this issue but rather he said that the case has been referred to the disciplinary subcommittee.
While Blantyre Police spokesperson Elizabeth Divala said player will appear before Blantyre Magistrate’s court and that although he has already been charged, investigations are still underway.
