Takondwa Lwazi is Netball player star in Malawi Queens as well Blue Eagles Sisters who has made headlines at the East African club Netball Championships in Kampala, Uganda on Saturday when she emerged as best centre court player in the competition.
Lwazi is a Malawi international, played for Tanzania Immigration team, which signed her on loan for the international event alongside her teammate Joyce Mvula and Thunder Queens’ defender Joana Kachilika.
Her team, took the third position in the 12-team tournament after they narrowly lost 35-37 in the semi-final against a team from host country.
“ I can confirm that indeed Lwazi has emerged best centre of the tournament in Uganda. We are proud of her achievement,” Said Blues eagles Sisters coach Sam Kanyenda.
Netball Association of Malawi general secretary Carol Bapu said they are happy to hear about Lwazi’s success and other two Malawian players’ exploits in Uganda.
