Azam Tigers has asked the Sulom to hold midfielder Kondwani Kumwenda’s move to Nyasa Big Bullets until his transfer fee balance with Be Forward Wanderers is resolved.
Recently, Kumwenda signed for Bullets as free agent as wanderers did not consider him in their new squad.
However, Tigers Chairperson Sydney Chikoti on April 26, 2016 said that by the time the Wanderers released the midfielder, they still had k 1 million outstanding transfer fee balance.
The Tigers has joined the development because Wanderers bought Kumwenda from this club which they not yet settle the full amount of transfer fee.
Chikoti accused the big clubs of abusing the small team, so they want to see the intervention of Sulom on this matter.
Sulom general secretary Williams Banda yesterday suggested that the first thing that needs to be determined is the status of the player.
|” what was the player’s status at the time he signed for Bullets? Once that critical question is answered then the way out on this matter can be seen,” he said.
Bullets acting general secretary Kelvin Moyo argued that the transfer fee balance does not concern their team as the player was signed by them as a free agent.
