Mzuzu Golf Club once banned by Golf Union of Malawi (GUoM) in Match this year for not remitting annual membership fees for the 2015/16.
Therefore, the club members were not allowed to participate in GUoM organized tournaments.
According to the GUoM director, Edwin Chipala disclosed yesterday that the club members are now free to participate in every golf tournament having settled the balance and paid union fees at the end of last month.
The newly-elected secretary of the Mzuzu Golf club, Thomas Malopa said that they indeed have paid the handicap fees.
“We are now free. We have cleared our outstanding membership and handicap fees. Our players have started participating in tournaments,” he said.
