Despite being sent 8 keys players for Cosafa tournament in Namibia Nyasa Big Bullets won 1-0 to Silver Strikers yesterday in the match at Civo Stadium in commemoration of World Environment Day.
The match started with normal pace where both sides used new players in the pitch. In the first half Bullets scored through Kondwani ‘Scholes’ Kumwenda and was only goal of the day up to the final whistle.
Technical panel director of Bullets, Billy Tewesa appeared to be happy after the result and said that the silvers were too much boastful before the match.
“They were saying that they could defeat us because they are heading TNM Super League. They were not considering us to win this game, they depicted us as ‘makape’,” he said.
While Silver coach Lovemore Fazili of Silver Srikers said that they just building up a team as they have used new players, those without names.
“We used new faces, we just need to build a strong team which will last for long. We will meet this Bullets in TNM Super League as those they have gone to Namibia will come back, we need to defeat them in no excuse,” said Fazili
However, Bullets have befitted a lot in this game as it has pocketed with 2 million Malawi kwacha over the winning the match.
