Football Association of Malawi (Fam) technical sub-committee has planned to meet Malawi National Football Team coaches tomorrow, more especially Ernest Mtawali at Mpira Village in Blantyre.

Mtawali is expected to bring a full report on how the Flames played at the Cosafa Castle Cup and in the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers.

Flames were beaten in the 2017 Afcon qualifier by Zimbabwe 3-0 in Harare, soon before they proceed to Namibia for Cosafa two weeks ago.

On the threshold to Cosafa, Malawi defeated Angola 3-0, Mauritius 1-0 in a Group B match before being shown the exit door through a 1-0 loss to Lesotho

Fam vice-President, James Mwenda, has said that during this meeting, the committee will assess the performance of the national team and come up with a resolution and hand over it to the main executive committee.

“It’s just order of the day that after every match, a national coach submits a report about the game and his plans. We will do our assessment once we receive the report. The committee will not just look on the Flames coaches but also other football developments technically. We will invite the coaches when we need extra explanation from them,” Mwenda said.

The meeting will also assess the performance of the Flames technical panel at both competitions.
