In press statement released today of the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has indicated its Executive Committee has resolved to recommend to Malawi Government that the employment contracts of the Head Coach, Ernest Mtawali and his Assistant, Nsanzurwimo Ramadahan should not be renewed upon expiry on 31st July 2016.
The decision is similar of that was made by technical subcommittee that Mtawali has been fired as a result of poor performance of the Malawi National Football Team over the past year.
In the interim, FAM will engage the services of Mr. Nsanzurwimo Ramadahan as a Caretaker Coach from 10th August 2016 for a period of one month to take charge of the Malawi National Football Team in the last match of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Swaziland. The said match is scheduled to be played in Blantyre on 3rd September 2016.
However, FAM has thanked the two coaches for the services they rendered to the nation in the past one year and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
