Malawi national football team (Flames)   is knocked out 3-0 by Zimbabwe in Harare on Sunday in game of the 2017 Africa cup of Nation qualifiers.

The Flames are unexpectedly crashed out of the tournament which was must for them to win as to proceed.

Speaking after the game, Flames coach Ernest Mtawali described the performance as poor molded into unacceptable defeat because of remorse.

“It’s unacceptable to play this way. I am apologizing to Malawians for this unreasonable defeat,” said Mtawali.

Flames’ loose defence, unorganized midfielders molded into no granted any the winning formula against Warriors who scored through striker Knowledge Musona, before Khama Billiat added the other.

Mtawali said he is now focusing on winning the Cosafa Castle Senior Challenge Cup in Namibia as to console mourning Malawians.
