Noting the expensive living in Malawi which leave no stone unturned even to the sports, which has forced the Southern Region Netball League (SRNL)to increase registration fees from K25,000 to K30,000 for teams wishing to participate in Rainbow Paints Netball League set to throw-off on July 2.
Following the meeting which the league’s executive held with teams’ representatives at Blantyre Youth Centre on Saturday.
In an interview, the league’s General Secretary, Annie Hanjahanja, described the increase as reasonable considering the prevailing economic situation.
“It is not a secret that as a nation we are facing financial problems. As a league, we haven’t been spared either. We have reasonably increased the registration fee from K25,000 to K30,000 because we want to issue modern identity cards,” she said.
