The report which Super League of Malawi (Sulom) general secretary Williams Banda presented at the annual general meeting (AGM) held in Lilongwe on Saturday indicated that gate revenue has got its raise from k180 million to k 314 million last season.
According to Sulom Treasurer Tiya Somba-Banda has attributed the rise in gate revenue as is the result of enough security which they provide during the matches that give no chance to thieves.
“It was much boredom thing in the past every time hearing that some people have been arrested on suspicion of having stolen gate collections. Now that there are no more chances that is why we get such big amount,” he said.
