The Ghanaian striker, Asamoah Gyan who is also a captain of the national team (Black stars) has disclosed his plan to venture into the coaching career after he retires from playing hangs football.
Currently, Gyan plays as a striker for Shanghai SIPG of the Chinese Super League, believes that he has capability to lead from the bench as well.
Speaking in an interview, the 30 year old recalled his experience on the bench of the Black Stars in a game against Togo at the Tamale Sports Stadium after being benched due to injury but he managed to give coaching support throughout the game.
“There was one qualifier against Togo in Tamale, and I was on the bench, I couldn’t sit, you have to inspire the boys, and it comes naturally.”
“I will try and do some coaching course and hopefully become black stars coach one day.” he said.
