One of the leading cricket team in the country, Mpingwe Silver won the T20 Cricket Tournament after edging their archrivals Mpingwe grey with 9 wickets and received atrophy.
MSC silver made the runs in over while the second place team (Grey) made 55 runs in 13 overs all out.
Mpingwe Sports Team (Silver) dominated the tournament and its player Massif Rustam grabbed three trophies for being best basement, player of the tournament and man of the match.
Speaking in an interview Saeed Limdawala the chairperson of the organizing committee said the tournament was much tougher and competitive.
“All teams in the tournament were well prepared to win the championship this year,” he said.
The annual cricket tournament which was self sponsored saw Irfan Wadia of Oriental Cricket (OCC) club as best bowler.
Yasin Limdawala took 4 wickets the same of Asif Rustam who also took 4 wickets during the tournament which was held at Oriental Cricket club along Chikwawa road in Blantyre.
“Next year the tournament will bounce back with pomp to expose more talent and skills for our players,” said Limdawala who also doubles as captain for Mpingwe Silver team
