As Netball transfer window in on, Kukoma Diamonds has signed the goalkeeper-cum-defender, Anabel Phiri, at a record fee of K600,000 from Northern Region league team, Lameck Queens, and they have officially unveiled her at the sponsors ‘office in Blantyre.
Kukoma Diamonds General Secretary Chimwemwe Bakali said they were impressed with Anabel performance and wished her the best the time she will be at Kukoma Diamonds.
“We are trying our best to beef up our squad because all we want is to win the League and all the cups this season,” said Bakali.
While Kukoma Diamonds Manager Veronica Nkhoma has described the signing of Anabel as a step further to strengthen their squad.
Anabel has signed for country-record as appeared to be most Malawian expensive netballer so far as it stands.
