Civo United have suspended coach Milias Jegwa Pofera as head coach as his time in first season in TNM Super league has characterized by losses and draws.
The club officials confirmed that Pofera has been suspended but final decision from the sponsors will determine his future at the club.
Former Mighty Wanderers international defender and Football Association of Malawi (FAM) Technical Officer Charles Manda who was hired four weeks ago as Technical Director to steady the sinking ship, has been appointed caretaker coach.
“We have directed that Coach Milias Pofera should not handle any football related activity at the club as we have initiated investigations into the team’s poor performance in the first round,” said the official.
“This has been done while we are waiting for a decision from our sponsors on his position.”
The team currently finish on position 11 in first half of TNM super league.
