Illovo Sugar Company has donated K30 million to Dwangwa United as the company wants to motivate the team to work hard in second half of 2016 TNM super League.
Speaking in an interview at donation ceremony on Monday, llovo Company Human Resources Manager Chrispin Chikwama said the donation is part of his company’s corporate and social responsibility.
While Dwangwa United, club board Chaiman Frank Mphande thanked Illovo for the timely donation which he said will greatly contribute to the team’s improved performance in the second round.
“We are very happy with the donation as you know running a club without sponsorship is not easy at all and we will put the money into good use. Illovo has always been supportive to us and we are always thankful. The only way to pay them back is through winning,” said Mphande.
Meanwhile, Ethanol Company has also made a K2 million donation to Dwangwa United.
They finished the first round on position 14 with 11 points from 15 games.
