Football Association of Malawi (FAM) executive committee finally decides to meet Saturday to see a way forward on issue of hiring the next coach for the Malawi National Football Team.
FAM General Secretary, Suzgo Nyirenda, confirmed the development on Tuesday, as Flames’ coaching post became vacant on July 31 following that the Ernest Mtawali’s contract will not be renewed.
Meanwhile, FAM appointed his former deputy, Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan as caretaker ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Group L dead-rubber qualifier against Swaziland on the first weekend of September at Kamuzu Stadium.
“The Technical and Youth Committee chairperson will make a presentation which will be deliberated before a resolution is passed. So, let us wait until August 6,” Nyirenda said.
