Football Association of Malawi disclosed that the match between the Malawi national football team (Flames) and Swaziland for 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) will be played on September 4.
Previously the match was supposed to take place on Saturday, September 3.
According to Football Association of Malawi (FAM) General Secretary Suzgo Nyirenda this follows a directive from the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
“CAF has shifted the match because they want it to be played on the same day with the other Group L last match between Guinea and Zimbabwe. The rule that last matches should be played on same day and same time” Said Nyirenda.
The Flames are already out of this competition having lost 3-0 to Zimbabwe in June this year.
