Be-Forward Wanderers right winger Isaac Kaliati will miss first opening games of his side in the second round of the TNM Super League as he sustained injury.
The former Azam Tigers player picked up the injury last month during a friendly match against their reserve side at Sure Stream Stadium.
After underwent an x-ray scan at Beit Cure Hospital, the midfielder would be out for eight weeks.
This means Kaliati is also out of the Carlsberg Cup Finals against Silver Strikers on 10 September 10, 2016 at Kamuzu Stadium.
The news is a hard blow to the Nomads who have a series of other injured players like Rafiq Mussa, Peter Nselema, Patrick Gunde, Peter Munthali and Nenani Juwayo.
However, the good news for Wanderers is that their striker Jabulani Linje is finally fit after three months out with a groin injury, but he is unlikely to feature in Monday’s league showdown against Red Lions in Zomba.
