Civo United have refuted the speculation among local media and team supporters that the club Executive Committee has fired head coach Millias Pofera Jegwe for team’s poor run in TNM super League first round.
Following the 2-1 home defeat to Dwangwa United over the weekend, supporters and media attributed the loss to Jegwe and they started putting about it that the club has just fired him.
However, in an interview with a local radio on Tuesday, Civo Vice General Secretary Ronald Chiwaula denied the allegations.
“The executive have not met to discuss the issue of Mr. Jegwe. But since we have finished our first round league games, we will soon meet together with the coach and entire technical panel to review how we have performed in the first round” said Chiwaula.
The Civo have only managed to collect 16 points from 15 games and they seat on position 11.
