Football Association of Malawi (FAM) President, Walter Nyamilandu, has disclosed that some employees of the association’s secretariat might face disciplinary action for misconduct.
Nyamilandu’s remark was reacting to the association’s management meeting which reportedly insulted some executive members.
The secretariat traded barbs over who was to manage gates during the Presidential Cup quarterfinal match involving Nyasa Big Bullets and Mafco FC at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.
“We are carrying out investigations on the matter. At the moment, we are dealing with it as an internal matter,” Nyamilandu explained in a response to a questionnaire.
“If there is evidence to that effect, it will definitely warrant disciplinary action.”
However, Nyamilandu could not be drawn into stating as to what disciplinary action the secretariat faces.
