One of big clubs, Be Forward Wanderers have disclosed to get rid of some are players before the start of the second round as one way of reducing the club’s costs.
According to Wanderers’ Vice-Treasurer, Chulu Mkangama disclosed it in an interview yesterday said that the squad was becoming unmanageable due to high monthly wage bills.
“As an executive committee, we will meet to analyse the first round and look at targets. Trimming the squad could be one of the items on agenda. So far no decision has been made but we will see what happens before the start of the second round,” he said.
According to Mkangama, the club’s wage bill is estimated at K8 million every month.
Meanwhile the club not yet discloses the names of players which will be axed.
