At last,the Bingu National Stadium is finally done and will be handed over to government in Lilongwe by the end of business of toady.
According to Minister of Transport and Public Works, Malison Ndau, the multi-billion kwacha Chinese government-funded stadium will be handed over to the Ministry of Sports and Culture.
“There is no way we can hand over a structure that is not complete. As the minister responsible, I can proudly tell my fellow Malawians that the Bingu National Stadium is ready,” Ndau said.
Ndau said after the handover, the Ministry of Sports will make arrangements as to when Mutharika will open the stadium officially.
As it stands, the stadium is not going to entertain any match until President, Peter Mutharika, inaugurates it.
