The Lilongwe-based basketball clubs, Brave Hearts both men’s and ladies have been invited to a three-day tournament in Harare, Zimbabwe which will be played this coming weekend.
The team of 29 players plus officials is expected to leave today for the third edition of Vixens Annual Invitational Tournament throwing off today at Doom Belvadare Teachers Training College.
Brave Hearts Patron, Griffin Kalua, said the team was in good spirits ahead of the tournament.
“We are going there to compete and the players are raring to go. We want to give our teams, international exposure as we aim to take basketball to another level,” Kalua said.
Teams from Zambia, Botswana, South Africa and the host nation are expected to participate in the tournament that will attract 16 men’s and 16 women’s teams.
